The LTYC Women’s Regatta
for the
Diane Chapin Nilstoft Memorial Trophy
The 2021 event is postponed at this time. Stay tuned.
Two Divisions: Keelboat (4 sailors) & Dinghy (2 sailors)
The weather was perfect for the 2019 Women’s Regatta. 8 Alerions and 9 Dinghies raced three races each in two fleets before returning to the club for champagne, dinner, a fabulous cake, and awards.
2019’s victors were sisters Kate and Meredith Moran in the dinghy division and, in the keelboat division, Britt Gustafson, Kris Kalapos, Ali Hill (not pictured), and Ella Cantera (not pictured). The 2019 Nilstoft Scholarship was awarded to Natalie Simmons. Congratulations to the entire Women’s Regatta committee, led by Jan Mancinelli, for planning an elegant event cherished by all ages.
Spread the word about this exciting event. All skippers and crew must be female. Junior women are especially welcome. The LTYC Alerion fleet and LTS are generously offering boats for keelboat and dinghy racing. Form your own team or ask to be matched with a team and a boat. After racing, there will be awards plus drinks and dinner available at LTYC. All racers and their families are welcome. Sign up early as spaces are limited.
Event Registration (coming soon)
Registration Fee: $40 per Alerion, $20 per 420
