LTYC’s mission is to enhance the enjoyment of boating in and around Little Traverse Bay for its members, through activities that promote racing, cruising, instruction, social activities, and fellowship.
Membership in LTYC
The Little Traverse Yacht Club is perhaps the midwest’s premier sailing club, boasting some of the most active summer racing anywhere, in one of the the world’s most beautiful sailing environments. LTYC members enjoy a full summer schedule of social events, as well as food and bar service at our beautiful clubhouse with spectacular views of the Harbor Springs Harbor. Our top-notch junior sailing program builds lifelong sailors, and generations of families have made memories sailing and socializing together at LTYC.
Most Club operations run in June, July, and August—though there are organized gatherings of members at local Harbor Springs establishments throughout the off-season. Our weekly email update and twice-yearly newsletters keep our 350+ members up-to-date on all the happenings. The membership includes year-round local residents, summer residents, and even members who spend just a couple weeks a summer in Harbor Springs.

One of the most active sailboat racing programs in the country, with racing almost every day during the summer season, and a variety of fleets and skill levels—something for every sailor!
Annual Regatta Weekend
More than 80 boats participate in racing on the bay, with a pancake breakfast in the morning and social events each evening. Members race, volunteer, and spend time with friends at the heart of the summer’s most exciting weekend.
