Although the LTYC is on solid financial footing and budgets carefully, we appreciate (and rely on) the generosity of many of our members to support special initiatives, long-term investments, and capital improvements to grow the Club’s programs and facilities.

Note that the Little Traverse Yacht Club is organized as a 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation under the US Tax Code.  Because LTYC is a membership organization, donations are not tax deductible to the donor. Our partner junior sailing organization—Little Traverse Sailors—is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization. See below for more information.

Donation Options

Donate to the LTYC Corinthian Fund. Five years ago, the LTYC Corinthian Fund was established as a way to firmly ground the LTYC’s sailing programs well into the future—both to ensure the continuation of our racing traditions of as well as enabling the ongoing investments required to build into the future. All donations to the LTYC Corinthian Fund are designated for sailing programs. Annual donors of $250 or more earn special recognition amongst the membership and invitations to periodic Corinthian Fund events.

Donate to the LTYC Youth Race Team. Funding for our Youth Racing Team enables our young up-and-coming members to train and compete in sailing at a national level. (In 2018, the Team placed second in the J/70 US Youth National Championship!)

Donate to the LTYC Capital Improvement Fund. From time-to-time, the Board of Directors engages in a major project to increase overall member benefits. This fund (which also incorporates all initiation fees) enables these projects to proceed with limited impact on overall Club finances.

Donate to the LTS Junior Sailing Program. Our partner in youth sailing is Little Traverse Sailors, which for more than 50 years has been helping sailors from the age of eight on up find their passion in sailing. LTS is a separate 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization; find out more and donate by clicking here.
