Racing

One of the major reasons for the founding of the Little Traverse Yacht Club in 1895 was to provide sailboat racing opportunities for its members and visiting yachtsmen.  LTYC continues that tradition today with a racing schedule providing excitement for the novice racer to the most experienced.

The LTYC signature event is our the annual “UGotta” Regatta bringing together racers from across the country to Little Traverse Bay.

LTYC provides one-design racing from June to  September for the unique Northern Michigan (NM) fleet as well as the highly competitive Alerion 28, J/70 and J/105 fleets. Tuesday nights offer PHRF racing from June to September. Don’t be shy . . . come and race for the fun, camaraderie and the hardware!
